The people in the picture are celebrating their country’s national day .The lady who is sitting in the middle of the picture was celebrating her birthday with her two other friends. There were many people gathered in the stadium to watch the performance as I can see that they have sited on a flight of stairs waiting for the performance to being.
I think that the people were celebrating Singapore national day as I can see people waving their small Singapore flag and wearing a cap that has printed Singapore 30th birthday. The people in the picture look happy and excited. I think that they are wondering what kind of performances the people will be performing .I also think that the lady in the middle was very lucky to have her birthday in the same day of national day as people in Singapore will be celebrating for her as well and maybe she can get herself a discount for buying things in some shops too. I think that it was a bright and sunny day as people were wearing caps and holding umbrella to shade them from the hot sun.
It was good that Singapore was a harmonious and a peaceful country and there were no riots around. Unlike some other countries. I do hope that Singapore will always be peaceful.

picture discussion
I think that the people in the picture are attempting the low elements like the "spider web”. I can see that the participants in the picture are having an outdoor activity as I can see many trees around the place. The people have gathered in the campsite as I can see a tent which is shown on the background. I think that the boy in the foreground is having hard time trying to pass through the hole. They are having a team-building game to let them get know of each other better and to cooperate with each other. The boy's teammates are trying to help him pass through the hole. The girls at the background of the picture are cheering for their teammates. His teammates are trying to hold on to him tightly, hoping that he will not fall and lose the game. They are having lots of fun and they all seem to be engaged in the game. I think that this activity can let them know that with good teamwork; they can accomplish things much faster and better, trusting their teammates and friends and to let them know that there are friends that they can count on and will always be supporting them.

summary
Today Janina Pietrasiak and Maria Lopuszanska live like sisters. They … meet daily and help each other out, living alone and are not affluent. Maria’s parents were anti-Nazi underground activists and help sheltered Janina and her mother. Janina’s mother soon died of tuberculosis and young Janina clung desperately to her new family. She was baptized to become part of the family to avoid being detected and killed by the Nazis. During the Warsaw Uprising, the girls had to fend for themselves as Maria's father was sick and her mother was demonstrating against the Nazis. Maria was like a mother to Janina since Janina have lost both of her parents and her sibling committed suicide. In order to recognise Maria and her parents from saving her during WW1, Janina contacted the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem and cash reward was given to Maria to improve her financial situation.
